Hey everyone! Today I am going to talk about this movie trailer that I saw a couple of weeks ago called "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". When I watched the last Star Wars movie's, I thought that they were so awesome, so when I saw this trailer, I couldn't wait for it to come out. It is also a really hyped movie because they finally made another movie about Star Wars even thought is was done about 40 years ago. When I saw the trailer I thought it was so awesome with all the fight scenes and the space shots. It just couldn't get any better. Overall, I thought that this movie trailer was great and you should definitely watch it if you haven't. Well, thank you for reading and have a awesome winter break!
Hey everyone! A couple of days ago Mr. M talked to us about doing video blogs on the topic he gives us instead of having to do 2 written blogs per week. Today I am going to write about what I think about doing that. I think it will be a great idea, but there is one bad thing about it. The first reason why I think this is a good idea is because we get to work with camera's every week, we have to edit every week, and the bad thing about it is that people might teased or bullied.
The first reason why I think doing video blogs is a good idea is because we can work with camera's every week. I know that sometimes we might not get the chance to film with a camera so we might have to film with our phone, but when we do get the camera, we can learn lots of things like adjusting the lighting, making sure our camera is on focus, and even filming in the while pointing the camera at you. You will be forced to film more too that just filming once or twice during the quarter. I think you will definitely learn a lot about camera's and stuff if we do video blogs.
The next reason why I think it is a good idea to do video blogs is because we will have to edit every week. During each quarter, we probably only edit once or twice for our projects and STN practices, and we don't get that much experience with it. With us doing the video blogs, we can edit every week and that will really get us good at editing so we it comes to editing our project, we will do a great job. I really think that doing video blogs will help us out a lot in editing.
The only bad thing about doing a video blog every week is that people might go and find our website, and then bully or tease us. We can always turn off comments on our page but if someone in our school see's the video then they might tease or bully us. I really want to do these video blog but that is one thing that can really hurt people. Maybe to stop that we can just turn off the comments but it still won't stop teasing in school.
Overall, I think that doing video blogs will be a awesome and fun thing to do, but it also has one bad thing. The good idea's are we get to work with camera's every week, we have to edit every week. The bad thing about doing these video blogs is that people might tease or bully us for posting our video and we do something embarrassing. Well, that's it for this blog post, thank you for reading and have a great winter break!
Hey everyone! Today I am going to talk about this movie trailer that I saw a couple of days ago called "Point Break". I heard that they made an old Point Break that was super good so when I watched it the new trailer, I thought it was super awesome. When I saw all of the cool stunts and special effects, I automatically thought that I really wanted to watch it. From what I saw from the movie trailer, I think it is about this group that does a bunch of heist and bad things so another guy want to go undercover and try and join the group. When he gets in, he does lots of awesome stuff that is so amazing. Overall, I thought this is an awesome movie trailer and you should definitely watch it if you haven't. Thank you for reading and have a good one!
Hello everyone! Today I am going to talk about what I am going to do for the 3rd quarter. A couple of days ago, Mr. M talked about this long PSA that he would want 1 or 2 of us to do for the 3rd quarter. It was about doing a 2-3 minute, or even longer, PSA on kids drinking alcohol underaged. After hearing about, Dalson and I talked about it for a little bit and decided that we would want to do so we asked Mr. M and he said yes and that when he gets more information, he will tell us about it. 3 reasons why I wanted to do it was because I thought I should try something different, I personally don't like kids drinking alcohol at a young age, and I really like working in partners.
The first reason why I decided to do this kind of PSA was because I wanted to try something different and a little more challenging. I did a regular PSA last year and I thought it was fun but I think this will be more exciting. I like that it will be a little longer because I feel that 30 seconds was a little to short for a PSA, but it also might be hard doing a longer PSA. I also enjoy that this is a topic that not very many people chose and that if we do a good enough job on making the video, I think that it could be featured on Olelo.
The next reason why I wanted to do a project like this is because I personally do not like kids drinking underaged. I think that it is very inappropriate and you also can get in trouble by your parents. You don't even go to jail though, so if you steel it from your parents or pay your older friend or brother to buy the alcohol, they get the punishment even though it wasn't their idea. I also heard that beer doesn't taste that good but I don't know, I've never tried it before. I also think that you can get your friends or family killed by getting drunk and going crazy or just driving home drunk.
The last reason why I did this project was because I really enjoy working in partners. I like doing a video and having someone else commenting on what you are filming and if you make a mistake. You also don't have to film and do things alone and if you go to a little bit of a sketchy place, you will have someone else. I also like working with the people that are leaving next year, not only do they know a lot, they are also very fun. Since I am doing it with Dalson, one of my best friends, I guarantee I will have more fun that doing a project alone.
Overall, instead of doing a normal PSA, I did a 2-3 minute, or even longer, PSA on kids drinking alcohol underaged. I decided to do this because I wanted to do it was because I thought I should try something different, I personally don't like kids drinking alcohol at a young age, and I really like working in partners. I am truly excited to do this project and I think it will be fun, but first I have a finish my 2nd project in time. Well, that's it for this blog post, thank you for reading and have a great one!
Hey everyone! I know I did a blog on this movie a couple of weeks ago but a new trailer came out called "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice". Just looking at the trailer I think I can kind of tell what the story is. I think it is that after the fight that Superman had in the last movie called "Man of Steel", it ruined the city and killed a bunch of people so Batman got super angry. Then they fight for a little bit but then a new person comes in and no one knows what side she is on. That is just a guess on what the story is but I also thought they had great special effects, like every other movie. They make all of these explosions and buildings fall down, they also make the trailer so convincing that you want to watch it even more. Overall, I thought this trailer was awesome and revealed even more clues to what this movie is about that is coming in 2016. Well, that's it for this free blog post, thank you for reading and have a good one!
Hello everyone! Today I am going to write about what my goals are for this upcoming STN practice this weekend. Last time we had a STN practice, my partner Aron and I did a Nat Sounds video on the title "Day at the Beach". When we finished it but we still had a lot to improve on. My goals for this next STN practice is to have better sequencing, my second goal is to have better and more meaningful interviews, and my last goal is to get better sound.
The first goal that I want to reach for this STN practice is to have better sequencing. When we did our last video, we just got interviews and B-roll and we didn't really think about matching the B-roll with the interviews until we started editing. We got interviews of people saying what they like to do at the beach but then we only put the B-roll as something totally different like of them sitting down. This next STN practice we definitely need to improve on sequencing.
My next goal for this next STN practice is to have better and more meaningful interviews. Last STN practice we just asked simple questions like " What to you like to do at the beach?" and "What do you enjoy about the beach?" After doing interviews I thought that we should have asked better questions like "Why do you like to surf?" or "Why did you come to this beach?" I thought that if we would've asked those type of questions, we would've done a whole lot better.
The last goal that I want to reach for this upcoming STN practice is to get better sound. Since our category in STN is Nat Sounds, we should use the big Boom Mic because that can get really high quality sound. We could get really close up shots of something and us the mic to pick up almost all of the sound it makes. We can even use the mic for the interviews and we just have to keep the mic completely still and point it right at the interviewee and it will catch all of the sounds.
Overall, looking at the video from the last STN practice, we have to improve a lot if we want to do good in the real competition. My goals for this next STN practice is to have better sequencing, my second goal is to have better and more meaningful interviews, and my last goal is to get better sound. Well that's it for this blog post, thank you for reading and have a great day!
